TetherBay ships as a portable tarball — no installation and no root needed. Unpack it, then run the launcher:
Unpack the download
In a terminal, in your Downloads folder:
tar -xzf TetherBay-0.2.650-linux-arm64.tar.gz
Run it
Launch the app from the folder it unpacked into:
./TetherBay-0.2.650-linux-arm64/TetherBay.Launcher.Cross
Debian / Ubuntu — native package
Prefer an apt-managed install with an app-menu entry and tetherbay:// deep links wired up? Grab the .deb instead:
sudo apt install ./tetherbay_0.2.650_arm64.deb
